So, Trent wanted me to reference a particular scripture (we couldn't remember what it was) and I realized that the only place I'd ever wrote it was on here. So, I pulled up my Scripture tag page on here to find it and stumbled upon some other things...
Here is an excerpt from a post I wrote a while ago. My purpose was that, because a lot of people can't be bothered with the Bible (tl:dr? or tl:dc? who knows ;]), I would bring the Bible to anyone who would listen. Why do people contemplate on fortune cookies and astrological forecasts and Buddhist philosophies when they say something noteworthy, but run and hide when someone mentions the Bible?
The only reason why I'm posting this is because my girl
salixna posted an uber long comment that I never responded to because my mind at the time couldn't wrap itself around what she said. But, it's brilliant. When scripture meets metaphysical science I get too excited these days. Does anyone watch that new show Fringe? Anyway, mindpower IS powerful. We are only using a portion of our brains, you know. Any why? Because we lack the faith that our brains are capable of so much more.
( End-times prophesy and LJ friend's response )

When I don't feel like carrying the big bag with everything in it this is usually my minimum:
» BlackBerry (phone, internet, mp3 player)
» basic lip gloss (right now it's Victoria's Secret Sweet Talk gloss in Posh Peach)
» baby oil or hand cream
» Coach wristlet containing...
» credit, debit, PayPal cards
» commuter pass
» etc.

I hate getting to know new gadgets, but once I do (which usually happens quickly, I just hate feeling unfamiliar)...it's lovely :D
I just got one of these:
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/prod ucts/Gadgets_Internet_Devices/productdet ail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=A0973567
Did I need it? Probably not. Did I want it? Very much so! I'm really trying to get Frappelattes off the ground by networking 24/7.
Oh yeah... it's basically just an Internet Tablet with other apps, picks up wi-fi, has a built-in cam, Linux-based, etc etc... basically geek paradise.
d33ts on her name (yes I named it) and screenshots later, when it gets prettified.

Would anyone be interesting in this black kimono dress by Lux, size XS-S (fits a junior M)? I bought two identical dresses! The one sign that you shop too much.

It's just the dress...very cute, cinch waist, knee-length on a 5'7 frame, and low plunge v-neck.
$10 total shipped to US only.

You can add my website as a feed to your LJ friends list for the latest updates. It's great when you're lazy like me ;) and especially if you don't have a nifty feed reader on your computer.

GNC WOMEN'S ULTRA MEGA ACTIVE - My daily multivitamin of choice. Contains everything a quality adult multivitamin should have, and some (I love it!)
Gingko biloba - memory, libido
Green tea extract - metabolism (works for suppressing appetite, also)
Alpha-lipoic acid - antioxidant
Silica - hair
Lycopene another antioxidant
and more!
bottom line: I feel healthy and energized, and it's a time release formula so it continues to kick in throughout the day. The green tea also keeps my appetite under control.
---
FISH OIL CAPSULES - Fish oil is rich in omega-3's and good fats, contributing to lower cholesterol levels, and to weight loss, for example. Great too for concentration, & hair, skin, nails. Also helps people with ADHD-type symptoms (the reason why I could never concentrate for long in school), and improved mood. (info)
bottom line: Noticeable improvement in my hair's moisture retention (as a matter of fact when I stopped taking this for couple weeks, my hair went bone dry). My nails grew faster and healthier. My skin glowwwed. Also, when I'm taking these on a regular basis I can concentrate a lot better at work. Especially with reading (not having to go back & read lines again because I started daydreaming)! My mood improved immediately, I just felt really good and healthy. Side note: freeze these if you don't want a case of the 'fish burps!'

VITAMIN B COMPLEX - 61638.html
---
VITAMIN B-6 (50mg) Provides energy and boosts metabolism. Also alleviates anxiety. (info)
bottom line: I pop one of these whenever I need an energy boost or when I need to buckle down at work. These are relatively inexpensive, also; I got them at CVS for less than $4/100 tablets.
---
ST. JOHN'S WORT - An effective over-the-counter solution for people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression symptoms (info)
bottom line: It WORKS. A friend told me about them; his dad suffers from depression and recommended them. My friend tried them, and his usual irritability and pessimism just disappeared. Trust me, that's saying a lot. I tried them (I have moderate anxiety) and my anxiety completely went away. The only thing that has ever done so for me. St. John's wort makes me feel good, positive, and calm. Highly recommended. (but do NOT take this if you're already on antidepressants or any MAOI inhibitor, OR if you are on any medication, or illicit drugs [meth, coke, etc])

I believe in finding a combination of vitamins and supplements that work for you. Being that I'm concerned with maintaining a healthy metabolism, staying trim, looking good, and keeping my anxiety/depression under wraps, this combo works quite nicely for me. That, and I enjoy keeping my body in tip-top shape (along with a balanced diet and regular exercise). Remember to drink plenty of water and eat regularly when taking any supplements. Because I dislike swallowing pills (the aftertaste >:-0), I like to drink them down with my morning smoothies (just don't blend them in with your smoothie, it'll taste gross).

I'm doing this review basically because I'm super thankful, and I want to share such a thing that may be beneficial to any of you suffering from the same issues that I've had (which seem to be at least a handful of you guys). Anxiety, depression. Emotional instability. Feelings of paranoia or irritability for no real reason. These feelings come and go, but all in all, they make life suck! But not only that; for me, along with those feelings I'd often feel extremely lazy, lethargic, and very procrastinating.

B vitamins! Yes, just vitamins, that you can find in many common foods. They can also be found in energy drinks, which can give you a rush of feel-good energy, but wears off after a couple hours. However, taking a daily supplement of B-complex vitamins (including B2, B6, B12, etc) will continue to nourish your body with these essential nutrients, and in a surplus amount that no single serving of food can give you.
Here is a list of just some of the health benefits:
** Increased daily energy
** Sense of well-being and vitality
** Improves emotional state, which aids situational perspective and response (finally stop overanalyzing everything...)
** Aids in metabolism of carbohydrates and speeds up metabolism in general (weight loss, people!)
** Improves mental alertness, concentration, and response (which leads to doing better in school or work)
Why spend money on expensive medications when you may not have to? For less than $10, you can be on your way to an effective, natural solution with no side effects or withdraw complications.
As far as my personal regimen goes, I take a basic daily vitamin (which would be a great idea for anyone who wants to feel healthier in general), and I also take an additional B-complex supplement. I'm getting about 10x more than the recommended daily allowance, but because B vitamins are water soluble, you body will simply pee out anything it doesn't want/need. :) The results have been incredible (otherwise I wouldn't be wasting my breath!)...I'm no longer an emotional wreck, my mornings have been a lot better, I'm nicer to people (versus antisocial), and I have better decision-making skills. Things also don't bother me nearly as much as they used to.
So in addition to eating healthier, drinking plenty of water, and moderate exercise, B vitamins are an essential addition to anyone's daily regimen! ♥
Thanks for reading.
